Just changing the breathing pattern assisted in preventing raised Blood pressure and improving my sleep.
Being a sedentary worker with around 11 hours of screen time, I was unaware of my unhealthy lifestyle habits, which included improper timings in food intake, unhealthy food intake, a poor sleep routine, and even a very bad urine routine. I often tend to control my urination during my working hours.
As a result, after several days, I had a chance to check my Blood pressure in a free camp, and to my surprise, my systolic and diastolic blood pressure was on the higher side than usual…
The doctor mentioned the DASH diet and some lifestyle modifications and emphasized deep breathing exercises, as the rise in blood pressure was noted only recently and a short time ago. He also advised having a good sleep cycle.
I was finding a chance to practice this deep breathing exercise in my workplace, but I did not get any proper interest. However, after scrolling through random YouTube videos, I had a chance to listen to Gurumahan's one-minute silence.
So, I took Gurumahan's positive insight of one minute of silence and started practicing deep breathing exercises every hour, at least 16 times a day, for the first month. I concentrated on my inner silence before sleep every day.
Surprisingly, my Blood pressure decreased on my second follow-up…
Also, after concentrating on my inner silence, I had a positive lifestyle change in my sleep routine and eating habits.
Hence, a small treatment has now changed to a lifestyle practice that helped me to prevent hypertension, and also, my sleep quality was greatly increased.
